F1 Sepang Days

Had a wonderful yet a disappointing one on the race day but I was satisfied enough to watch it live. It was so freaking hot right before the weather had a sudden PMS and rained heavily. Luckily I bought tickets which a place has a rooftop and we survived from becoming wet. Many interesting scenes I had caught especially when cars were overtaking each other either at the bends or straight lane. Too bad our spot could only see the second half of the circuit. The rain was getting heavier and the race was actually stopped for almost 40 minutes. The management somehow decided not to continue the race after 33 laps. This was the first race stopped short due to weather conditions since the 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix, and the first to result in distribution of only half the points since the 1991 Australian Grand Prix in similar monsoon conditions. Sigh, damn the pms weather!

Overall, I had a good time watching it with my friends. As what I got for souvenir was the damn rashes.

Day 1 (Practice Session):

Was able to catch them live on the stage
but the queue was too long to get their autograph.

It was my first time ever been to Sepang Circuit. The sound of the cars was so damn loud till it can hurt your ear drum. That's it is necessary to wear ear plug in order to protect your ear drum.

Day 2 (Qualifying Session):

This time was really the day that pissed me off. We woke up very early in the morning just to queue for Ferrari's drivers autograph. At the beginning the management didn't actually say it was only for grandstand ticket holders. I was pretty lost that time after I heard we can't get in there. Plus, there was a lady worker without a proper manner tells us to walk off and so we did because we couldn't do anything. There were others including the foreigners were actually disappointed too. However, from frustration turned to a joyful day as we went to search for our some entertainment. Yes, we did find something to play, a formula one simulator! All of us tried that game and it was fun. Haha. Chi ming, Aaron, and Prashanth got the last position and I managed to get myself into a tight race and finished at 8th. Proud ehh!

After we raced on the simulator, there's a museum and since time allowed us, we went there to catch some of nice and antique cars. Too many pictures were taken so I chose some of those here.

Off we went into the spot of ours and watch qualifying round. Unexpectedly, Brawn GP Jenson Button leads the session and earned him number 1 spot on the grand prix while Ferrari weren't doing so well.

Day 3 (Race Day):

Result:
  1. Jenson Button (Brawn GP)
  2. Nick Heidfeld (BMW Sauber)
  3. Timo Glock (Toyota)
